Lost Ark doesn't feature the traditional holy trinity of classes—DPS, healer, and tank. Tanks aren't really a thing in Lost Ark, and there are only two support classes in the NA/EU version (Paladin and Bard). Support classes are in hot demand in just about every server, so if you just want to pick a class that is highly valued at endgame, play a Bard or Paladin. If you want to play as a DPS, look for a class that mechanically or stylistically jives with you. There aren't any DPS comparisons or anything you need to worry about.
Starting out, you'll only be able to clear the first raid level of Guardians. To unlock additional raid levels, you'll need to complete all subsequent Guardian Raids. For example, to unlock raid level two, you'll need to complete all four Guardian Raids at raid level one. Tiers are broken down as follows:
For each Guardian Soul you don't harvest in a given day, you'll be given a +10 rest bonus. At 20 rest bonus, your next Guardian Soul extraction will grant twice as much loot. You can only have 100 rest bonus on your account at any given moment. Bear in mind that this catch-up mechanic only works for your two daily clears, so a rest bonus of 100 will take more than two days to cash out.
You've got a choice between the two Awakening skills here - Bursting Flare or Clay Bombardment. Both are viable. Bursting Flare is probably more popular because it's a bit easier to land all the damage, and it has a lot more stagger in comparison.
Which Engraving is better? Neither. While most builds grab Blessed Aura, it's not uncommon to see a Paladin grab both Engravings. **** Blessed Aura is mandatory for all Paladins in the endgame to boost their support capabilities, and Judgment is incredible for increasing the uptime of your Holy Aura.
The Deadeye, much like the Gunslinger, has access to a rotation of three main weapons - a Pair of Pistols (mobility and utility), Shotguns (damage), and the Sniper Rifle (ranged AoE.) How you utilize these different weapons really impacts Deadeye's playstyle in Lost Ark .
World Decimation - World Decimation is the preferred Awakening skill in almost every scenario. This massive AoE hitter deals huge damage, but is notoriously difficult to hit, especially on big Raid bosses who just love to move at the last minute. Don’t be put off by Lost Ark’s isometric style though. This is a highly polished experience. The combat is punchy, weighty, and oh so satisfying. Heavy-hitting classes like the Artillerist use rockets, barrages, and turrets to destroy waves of mobs with bloody gusto. Slick and highly mobile classes, like the Deathblade, dash and slice their way through Elites and Bosses. Even if you’ve not been a fan of games like Path of Exile before (and Lost Ark is different in many ways to PoE, anyway), Lost Ark is worth a few minutes of your time - the sound design, visuals, and impactful mechanics of each class really are at the top of the charts.
However, it’s important that I talk about microtransactions. Lost Ark does have them. You can pay a monthly subscription for something called Crystalline Aura - it’s sort of like a buff, allowing you to fast travel for free, perform extra tasks at your Stronghold (your home island, with research and buildings), and a few extra opportunities to complete daily quests. In Korea, the game has many more boosts and upgrades that you can purchase with real cash.

Hunts will vary depending on the Guardian you're facing, but most hunts consist of finding the boss and defeating the boss. Before you begin, you'll be given the option to harvest the boss' soul or not. Doing so will give you much more loot, but you can only do this twice per day (ignoring the catch-up mechanic). Finding the boss is significantly easier if you bring flares, a battle item that will reveal the location of the boss on your map for a short time. You can craft them at your stronghold.
Reliable Engraving that increases attack power by 16% at level 3 and reduces healing from your items by 25% . This is a decent trade-off, especially with the Artillerist who has shield capabilities to reduce incoming damage.
