On the bottom left, players will notice a Parasaur, a dinosaur commonly found in starting areas and on beaches of ARK maps. These herbivores make great pack mules and mounts, as they can carry a lot and still run relatively quickly. Above it there's a human riding on a Triceratops , one of the best defensive mounts that players can get early on in the first game. Finally, in the top right there is what appears to be a drawing of a Stegosaur, a dinosaur that in the previous game provided great utility for harvesting a variety of different types of resour

Flourishes — charged up versions of each character's basic attacks — and an AOE attack that sacrifices one heart piece, are also at the player's disposal as they fight their way through the many enemy types that have pervaded the Fable universe. While the appearance of hollow men, hobbes, and balverines might suggest that this is a Fable game for fans to look forward to, the experience of playing it does

Getting together with three other friends makes playing Fable Heroes feel less empty, but after one or two levels you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that was having fun. It should be mentioned that the game deals with death in a pretty clever way -- players can still help defeat enemies in a ghostly form, but they cannot collect coins -- but dying will not be too much of a worry, even on the harder difficulties. Hopping online, on the other hand, devolves into running around trying to snipe coins, rather than actually worrying about killing anyth

Then we played it. The love Molyneux spoke of can be seen in the human marriages, relationships, or children made possible in the game, but the one bond all players share is that between their player and their trusty

PLAY THIS GAME!!! Dicey Dungeons is dice-based in both a mechanical and literal sense, and is by far the most underrated title on this list. It turns standard roguelike and deck-building mechanics on their heads with its dice-based actions and differing playstyles between its six characters. I tend to be very lukewarm on deck-building or card games, and while games like Slay the Spire are fun, that still served as a roadblock for

With a sprawling, graphically intense world part of a near fifteen-hour campaign, Fable: The Journey breaks any conceptions of what a Kinect title can be. It’s not demo material or a novelty release, but an uncompromising Adventure games money guide game that weaves an engrossing story while utilizing the full potential of motion control. It doesn’t always work flawlessly, but the sheer ambition alone makes it a must-own for Fable and Kinect fans alike.

The most iconic dinosaur of all , it should come as no surprise that the T-Rex is making its return and had a big spotlight in the trailer. Called just "Rex" in the first game, the T-Rex in the trailer looks to be slightly larger and equally as clumsy. It also features some stylish furs on its neck and along its spine, perhaps in an effort to create a more realistic representation of the beast. That said, scientists still don't know exactly what the king of dinosaurs would have looked like, so this is still just a best gu

The Outer Worlds was everything people wanted it to be and more. While studios like BioWare and Bethesda have seemed to abandon their roots in recent years, The Outer Worlds revels in its old-school RPG design. It isn't the largest or most grandiose game out there, but it is certainly one of the most well-written and replayable RPGs in a long t

The very first shot in the ARK 2 reveal trailer shows an exotic looking flower only to reveal that it is fact some kind of dinosaur. Its long nose looks like a flower just before it blooms, and it is apparently capable of opening its snout to camouflage with other nearby flowers. After it closes the flower on its nose, viewers can see more of the creature's face, revealing chameleon like eyes and a lizard like body. Its tail and back spines are also made to look like leaves, ensuring that nothing can recognize it as an ani

There's no greater asset a lone wanderer of a post-apocalyptic landscape can have than a loyal dog, and as the Fallout series has progressed over time, so too has the hero's pooch - affectionately dubbed 'Dogme

While this live-action interactive game is very short and definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, it is an experience that has certainly stuck with me this year. Unlike most FMV heavy games, Erica doesn't try to justify its use of live-action through its premise, it's just how Flavourworks wanted to tell this story. That was an incredibly risky move, but the experience is held up by good writing and a great performance by Holly E

imageAs is common with Kinect, enjoyment of the title will largely be based on how accurate your set-up is. I played the game with a 42" TV in moderate lighting conditions and adequate space around me. Some will experience the game in better conditions, but I prefer to review Kinect releases with what I feel is a realistic representation of most gamer’s arrangements. To calibrate, there’s a special tool that has you cast spells at stationary enemies. It seems easy enough, but after using the new settings, attacks were going all over the place. It took about four calibrations to get it as accurate as possible. Once calibration is correct, there is a learning curve to get spells accurately cast. To really nail it, your arm must be fully retracted before extending, with the palm facing up at all times. It sounds simple, but remembering to keep correct form during the heat of battle can be tricky.
