The clearest example of this is the Forsaken Pack, a $20 DLC that sells the raid, dungeon, and weapons tied to the Forsaken expansion. Bungie released the campaign for free, but they are still charging money for the DLC’s post-story content. And you know what the worst part is? That free campaign won’t exist once The Witch Queen launches . It doesn’t matter if you bought Forsaken or not; that DLC’s campaign will be inaccessible for the foreseeable future. Bungie could have released the entire expansion for free to beef up the free-to-play experience, but they chose not to. They locked the best parts of Forsaken behind a paywall instead.
Since these mods only work for certain damage types, there’s a good chance that these mods require a specific affinity to go on your helmet. If you’re someone who decides to change their loadout and just so happens to switch damage types, you’ll need to Masterwork your helmet again every time you switch weapons . That’s tremendously inconvenient and compounds the mod swapping problems builds already deal with. And if you’re a newer player who can’t afford to Masterwork a helmet, you’ll need to spend multiple Cores and Prisms every time you switch guns. This stifles build variety for no reason, and I seriously hope the Orb mods don’t behave this way.

The weapons listed above can be obtained as random loot from world drops or from Banshee-44 in the Tower. Dotted around the map are plates that emit red light. Driving near the plate will activate it, extending the timer on the active mine by four seconds each. I want to get all of my friends into Destiny. It’s an exceptional shooter when it's firing on all cylinders. But as long as the true Destiny experience is locked behind such a horrible new player experience and multiple paywalls, I’ll be farming for that sweet new gun on my lonesome.
Since Quick Charge is such a good source of Charged with Light stacks, you can get away with using two mods that consume your stacks. Heavy Handed will give you an incredibly short melee cooldown, and High-Energy Fire will give you the firepower needed to melt majors and bosses quic

For those who decided to press on, they would eventually make their way to the Tower. Ghost introduces you to every NPC before you’re tasked with completing a Strike. Players are then greeted with a menu featuring a dizzying amount of options, some of which are locked behind an XP requirement or paywall. Assuming you finish the Strike, the game gives no guidance beyond increasing your character level. What’s a Power Level? What’s Crucible? Gambit? How do I get better gear? What makes a good piece of gear? Why are these planets locked? What should I do next?

destiny 2 story guide 2 has seen some radical changes since it was released back in 2017. Multiple expansions and updates later, Bungie has turned this simple FPS title into a much deeper action MMO with a focus on buildcrafting and customizat
Even if the Orb mods turn out to be a great change, there’s still one more aspect of mod bloat that needs to change: acquiring mods. Unlocking mods in Destiny is wholly tied to RNG. If you are looking for a specific ammo finder mod, you’ll need to get lucky by decrypting Engrams or hope Ada-1 sells it one day. You shouldn’t bet on the latter, as Ada-1’s mod inventory has gotten so bloated that it can take multiple months before she sells what you need. Worse, she’s your only source of Charged with Light and Warmind Cell mods. If you want to make a Firepower grenade build or use Protective Light, you need to check her inventory every single day and hope she eventually sells it. Better hope you don’t miss it, or you’ll be waiting months for another chance.
