Fans waiting for Elden Ring will find the themes in the Dragon Age series somewhat similar, albeit presented quite differently. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have teased at Elden Ring's more abstracted themes of racism, politics, and citizenship in terms of the Tarnished and the Elden Lords, something that crops up regularly within the plot points of Dragon Age games . Fans of the Diablo series will note the familiar plot of brave heroes suffering to protect and save the world, while the Fade has some stylistic similarities, being a dream-like world where demons l
The character should grow as a result of the player strategically planning their build, donning the right equipment, and grinding with purpose. Shredding through tough endgame enemies should feel like a reward not the default style of p
The Diablo 4 Updates series in general has done a great job of taking the players to wild locations and chaotic realms. Endless deserts, terrifying jungles, crumbling cathedrals, the depths of hell and the heights of heaven, but there’s so much more that could be explo
If Onasi is that paranoid, we can only imagine the conspiracy theories that he would come up with in TikTok videos. We don't need your passive aggressiveness, Carth! We just need that sharp aim of your gun while grinding through a sewer le
The Skill mechanics have been a controversial subject for fans. On the one hand players like the Diablo 2 skill tree that has players focusing on different skills for unique builds to complement their style of play. On the other hand players like that Diablo 3 took the pressure of planning builds, removed the risk of creating broken characters, and having to restart if you want to try a different skill
Baldur's Gate 3 , like the rest of the Baldur's Gate series, is firmly rooted in D &D _ both in terms of the setting but also game mechanics. With themes such as morality, inter-party conflict, and otherworldly tyrants, _Baldur's Gate 3 allows the players massive amounts of freedom as they play. To a certain extent, players can choose if they want to be good or evil or how their characters solve probl
Blizzard could also make items purchased from an Auction House have zero stats, but still provide its secondary or set-bonus. This would offer players a short-term solution to missing items, and still provide a power increase until they can find their own.
These are but a few ideas to consider, and while they may sound radical, Diablo 4 cannot possibly be made with the same model of Diablo 3 , or it too will offer little to players in the endgame and likely suffer the same abandonment as the current game.
Since the removal of the Auction House in Diablo 3 , gold became a useless currency that would accumulate endlessly. It was not until the Empowerment of Greater Rifts that there was finally some form of gold sink added into the game. The problem of course is that Diablo 3 has a bot problem, and thus players have access to massive amounts of gold. To avoid this in the next game, Blizzard would need to implement a new manner of currency that could be used in the Auction House, along with a method to moderate and control the bots.
Also having a mechanic that allows the player to store items on the pet/minion or even send them back to camp to drop off the goods would keep players in the grind and be a great quality of life improvement to the ser
TikTok has plenty of entertaining content creators, ranging from funny videos and great singing performances to excellent tips. Still, it's like any social media platform, where people overshare or just put content out that nobody wants to
This massive change means it is easier to tell what gems work on what skills, meaning it won't be as daunting for new players to understand. This also means that players won't have to spend resources or time adding sockets and links into newly-earned items to use them. Leveling will be much better, and this system allows for additional main skills to be used, as there will be significantly more slots for 6link items—the most sockets available to enhance a sk
It’s important to note that the length should be a result of a long and engaging story, not ridiculous grinds in order to progress or because it takes that long to explore the world. It should stay linear, but dive into more locations, more meaningful quests, and show the player growing gradually over t
Instead of players grinding for that powerful sickle for their necromancers they were wielding random spears or axes because it boosted their overall power. Introducing powerful items that shakeup the gameplay or interesting synergies would put the grind back on items and less on Paragon lev
One option would be to adopt a system of progressively rarer currencies in the same way that Path of Exile does. That game has a completely different method of in-game trading, but there is no denying that it is deep, complex, and satisfying. At the highest levels of play, players would have the chance to slowly earn the rarest of currency needed to spend at an Auction House, rather than simply grind for gold.
